BALTIMORE – Everyone has “off” nights, but WWE TLC 2011 easily represented one of the worst evenings in Vickie Guerrero’s esteemed professional career. Not only did Dolph Ziggler lose the vaunted United States Championship to Zack Ryder – a defeat that delivered a crushing blow to the showoff’s ego – but a bout arranged by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long saw her other client, Jack Swagger, fall victim to Sheamus’ feared Brogue Kick.

Understandably, WWE’s resident cougar wasn’t in the best of moods when WWE.com caught up with her moments after The All-American American’s humiliating loss to The Great White. Despite her discontent, however, Vickie just couldn’t resist the opportunity to sound off … and make us consider adding ear plugs to our holiday wish lists.

“It wasn’t just a bad night. It was a pathetic night!” Vickie hissed. “First of all, we were treated wrongly by Teddy Long. I mean, scheduling Jack in a match against Sheamus? How unfair is that? He didn’t even come to me to ask for my permission first! What kind of general manager is he? You know, he’d better watch his step, because I may just come and take his job one day.”

With regards to Ziggler losing the star-spangled championship, Vickie was visibly devastated as she recalled the blond blowhard’s U.S. Title collision with Long Island Iced-Z. Before Sunday night, Ziggler was the longest reigning champion currently in WWE.

“I miss the title,” Vickie said with a frown. “Tables, Ladders & Chairs was supposed to be a big pay-per-view for us. But you know what? We’re going to pick up the pieces and persevere.

Matt Striker conducted an interview with CM Punk, who was interrupted by John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis wished Punk luck in his match tonight, and Punk quipped with the familiar phrase “Luck is for Losers.”

The third unadvertised match of the night begun as Sheamus faced off against Jack Swagger.

Sheamus begun the match on fire with heavy offense including his signature blows to the chest. The action spilled to the outside as Swagger got the better of Shemus with Vickie cheering him on.

Swagger trash talked Sheamus as they made their way back into the ring, but Sheamus took exception to this and begun a fierce comeback. Sheamus went to the apron, but before he was able to make it to the top rope he was knocked from off the apron to the floor.

Sheamus fought Swagger off on the outside and returned to the top rope for his battering ram maneuver for a nearfall.

Sheamus missed the Brogue kick and Swagger connected with a chop block on his knee followed by an ankle lock. Sheamus sent Swagger into the corner on the counter, and after Swagger missed a second chop block attempt Sheamus capitalized with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

The match started with Ryder on the offensive as the fans got behind him with loud Ryder chants. Ryder dove to the outside with a somersault on Ziggler. Ziggler connected with a DDT on the apron and took control when the action resumed in the ring.

Ziggler worked over Ryder with a series of elbows as he got heat on himself. Fans continued to get behind Ryder as Ziggler continued to work over Ryder.

Ryder begun to battle out of a headlock and briefly got back into the match before Ziggler came back with an Angle Slam and a nearfall.

Ryder once again fought back after Ziggler set him up on the top ropes and hit a flying dropkick for a nearfall. Ryder resumed his offense as he hit a back elbow followed by a clothesline and a face buster.

Ryder sent Ziggler to the corner where he sunk to the bottom turnbuckle and ate a Broski boot. Guerrero put Ziggler’s foot on the rope for a nearfall and was ejected for her troubles.

Ziggler was rolled up by Ryder for a nearfall, but Ziggler followed up with a Fame-Ass-Er. Ziggler followed up a failed sleeper hold attempt with a dropkick for another nearfall.

Ryder battled back and set Ziggler up for the Rough Ryder but the move was countered by Ziggler for a nearfall. A Ziggler splash was blocked in the corner by Zack Ryder’s knees. Ryder then hit the Rough Ryder for the win.

Ryder’s dad was shown in the crowd celebrating. Ryder shared an embrace with his father and celebrated on the announcer’s table with celebratory fist pumps.

Winner: Zack Ryder

United States Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Daniel Bryan, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and Zack Ryder in a Fatal 4-Way Match Zack Ryder won a Slammy Award for Trending Star of the Year

The WWE Universe has spoken — or should we say tweeted. In a category that could only be won by becoming the first name to trend on Twitter, Zack Ryder proved that he was the king of social media. But in the ring, it was United States Champion Dolph Ziggler who came out on top, pinning Daniel Bryan to win a wild Fatal 4-Way bout. Long Island Iced-Z’s post-match Slammy celebration was brief, though, as his WWE TLC opponent immediately crushed him with a Zig Zag.

Randy Orton def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler in a Beat the Clock Challenge Match

In a grueling Beat a Clock Challenge against Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton struggled to get back in the ring and best the time of 7:53 – set earlier in the night by Wade Barrett. However, while Vickie Guerrero distracted the referee, his WWE TLC opponent appeared from nowhere, hurling The Viper into the steel ring post. Despite this onslaught, the resilient Orton reengaged Ziggler in time, executing the RKO to overcome his English adversary’s benchmark by two seconds!

Orton’s triumph earned him the right to pick his stipulation for his WWE TLC Match against Barrett. After the main event had concluded, the British brawler made a forceful suggestion as to what the stipulation should be, attempting to put Orton through a table. But, The Viper foiled his plan, hurling Dolph Ziggler through the table instead.

Everyone wants to hold the WWE Title, but which Superstar deserves to face WWE Champion CM Punk? That’s what Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis had to decide when he broke up the bickering of John Cena, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and The Miz.

Proving that he’s not as dull as The Straight Edge Superstar says he is, the executive came up with this decision — Miz, Ziggler and Del Rio would compete against SmackDown Superstars tonight and if they win, they will be entered in the WWE Championship Match at WWE TLC in two weeks. Cena, on the other hand, would undergo a “social experiment” that the GM had dreamt up.
