Vickie Guerrero suffers dual disappointments at WWE TLC

BALTIMORE – Everyone has “off” nights, but WWE TLC 2011 easily represented one of the worst evenings in Vickie Guerrero’s esteemed professional career. Not only did Dolph Ziggler lose the vaunted United States Championship to Zack Ryder – a defeat that delivered a crushing blow to the showoff’s ego – but a bout arranged by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long saw her other client, Jack Swagger, fall victim to Sheamus’ feared Brogue Kick.

Understandably, WWE’s resident cougar wasn’t in the best of moods when WWE.com caught up with her moments after The All-American American’s humiliating loss to The Great White. Despite her discontent, however, Vickie just couldn’t resist the opportunity to sound off … and make us consider adding ear plugs to our holiday wish lists.

“It wasn’t just a bad night. It was a pathetic night!” Vickie hissed. “First of all, we were treated wrongly by Teddy Long. I mean, scheduling Jack in a match against Sheamus? How unfair is that? He didn’t even come to me to ask for my permission first! What kind of general manager is he? You know, he’d better watch his step, because I may just come and take his job one day.”

With regards to Ziggler losing the star-spangled championship, Vickie was visibly devastated as she recalled the blond blowhard’s U.S. Title collision with Long Island Iced-Z. Before Sunday night, Ziggler was the longest reigning champion currently in WWE.

“I miss the title,” Vickie said with a frown. “Tables, Ladders & Chairs was supposed to be a big pay-per-view for us. But you know what? We’re going to pick up the pieces and persevere.

Vengeance Results

Air Boom kicked off Vengeance with an explosive start, retaining the WWE Tag Team Championships in a thrilling match against U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger. It was an especially harsh loss for Ziggler, as he had to defend his United States Title immediately following the tag team match!

While their manager, Vickie Guerrero, may have introduced her team of blond protégés as the next WWE Tag Team Champions before their bout against Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston, their fate at Vengeance was quite different. At the end of a highly-competitive match, Kingston hit Ziggler with Trouble in Paradise, then Bourne nailed the U.S. Champ with Air Bourne to seal Air Boom’s huge victory.

Air Boom has found incredible success in the WWE tag team division since winning the titles in August on Raw. Kingston & Bourne have successfully retained the WWE Tag Team Titles for a third consecutive pay-per-view, exciting the WWE Universe with each win. If the Cougar-led team of the braggadocios Ziggler & Swagger couldn’t defeat the impressive Air Boom duo, who can?

To make matters even worse on half of the losing team, Ziggler had to defend his United States Championship immediately following the tag match. Could Ziggler retain his U.S. Title against Zack Ryder after his grueling loss to Air Boom at Vengeance? WWE.COM

WWE.Com Preview – Vengeance

23.10.11 / PPV, WWE.Com / Comments: (0)

With Vickie Guerrero cheering them on from ringside, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger will challenge the exciting tandem of Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne – collectively known as Air Boom – for their WWE Tag Team Championships at Vengeance.

Using a little professional persuasion, Vickie convinced Raw’s Interim General Manager John Laurinaitis to grant her clients a WWE Tag Team Title opportunity against Air Boom this Sunday in San Antonio. There, The Queen of Cougardom aims to cement herself as one of the premier managers in the history of the squared circle by leading Ziggler and The All-American American to both U.S. and WWE Tag Team Championship glory.

Although Air Boom’s cohesion and aerial offense earned them a decisive title defense against Ziggler & Swagger at WWE Hell in a Cell, the calculating pair has nevertheless continued to tenaciously pursue the WWE Tag Team Championships. Just days after that failed attempt to topple the high-flyers, Swagger & Ziggler picked up a title-free triumph over Air Boom on SmackDown, proving to the WWE Universe that they are more than capable of grounding the reigning titleholders at Vengeance.

Also at Vengeance, Ziggler will be forced to defend his United States Championship against Long Island Iced-Z, Zack Ryder. Thanks to a decision by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, the arrogant Superstar must overcome the physical and psychological strain of competing in two title matches in a single night.

Will Ziggler & Swagger emerge victorious under the vigilant gaze of WWE’s resident cougar? Or will Air Boom deflate their challengers’ massive egos? To find out, tune in to Vengeance, this Sunday, only on pay-per-view.

A new Article on WWE.com – Vickie finally made a deal with Jack Swagger

Vickie Guerrero finally made a deal with Jack Swagger, adding him to her stable with Dolph Ziggler. But their new partnership was put to the test on Raw SuperShow this week.

While Swagger helped the United States Champion successfully defend his title against Zack Ryder, their team crumbled when joined by a defiant Mason Ryan in a match against WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston. Vickie could do nothing but watch the mess unfold. Are these problems a sign of a tumultuous partnership between this trio of hotheads? Or will their larger-than-life personalities fuel their success?
